A cell, and the program that runs it
iRobotics takes the cell you want and returns the layout, the reach study, and the program in the language of the arms actually in it.
What it does
- Vendor-native output
- Programs are emitted in the dialect the arms in your cell actually run — URScript, RAPID, FANUC TP or KUKA KRL — not a generic intermediate somebody has to translate.
- Cell layout and reach
- Arms, end effectors, conveyors and fixtures are placed as a cell, and the reach study says whether the arm can get where the work is.
- Kinematics and trajectory
- Forward kinematics on taught trajectories with joints interpolated between waypoints, so the tool is where the work is rather than near it.
- End effectors
- Grippers, vacuum heads and nutrunners are modelled as tools with the motions they imply.
Nothing in a production cell is one clever robot. It is a cycle time, repeated — which is what the layout, the reach study and the program are for.
